9th Grade
About 9th grade me:
My name is Casey, and this year, I am 14 years old. However, I will turn 15 next month on April 17th, although I like to joke with my friends that I am 5000 years old (since that is about how old China is). I love drawing, reading (manga and interesting chapter books like Harry Potter), helping others, and cute animals/babies. I am in NJROTC, 3 honors classes, and plan to take AP classes in my sophomore, junior, and senior year. Although I am not truly "smart," I try to keep my grades up by studying a lot, and by doing the best I can. I want to be able to get good grades in order to become a doctor, a career I've wanted to pursue ever since I was a child, although I don't know which kind of doctor yet. I am also extremely patriotic about both America and China, where my parents came from, and am studying Chinese along with Spanish in hopes that I will become fluent in Chinese. I enjoy exploring both outdoors and indoors, especially if it's with a friend. My music tastes are Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and American pop music (although I prefer slow, beautiful Chinese music over C pop).
Honestly speaking, my work load isn't that bad so far. It felt like everything was too much right when I started high school, because I was used to finishing my homework in about an hour in middle school. Whenever I had practice after school for NJROTC, I would stress about my homework, but, after a while, I got used to it. Now, I usually get my homework done before nine, although I know that junior, sophomore, and senior year will probably be much worse.

Strengths and Weaknesses for my intelligence:
Strengths
Naturalist: Naturalistic learning is about understanding the patterns of living things and applying scientific reasoning to the world. Nature intelligence is particularly applicable in careers such as that of a farmer, naturalist, animal behaviorist, and scientist. Intrapersonal: intelligence has been said to be the road to achievement, learning, and personal satisfaction. It is about being connected to who you are and how you feel, and knowing your own limits and abilities. It is involved in making decisions and setting goals for yourself, self-management, and self-reflection. Linguistic: Verbal-linguistic intelligence -- along with logical-mathematical intelligence -- is often associated with doing well in school. It involves the ability to use words effectively for reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The poet has been described as the epitome of verbal-linguistic intelligence (this doesn't sound like me at all D:) Weaknesses Musical: Musical intelligence is associated with enjoying music, singing, making music, and playing an instrument. It involves a sensitivity to sounds as well as the emotions music conveys. Logical-Mathematical:Logical-mathematical intelligence is about understanding complex problems and conceptualizing relationships between symbols, processes, and actions. This type of intelligence asks questions, finds solutions, and reflects on the problem-solving process. Bodily-Kinesthetic: Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence is about thinking in movements and includes the ability to use movements for either self-expression or precision to achieve a goal. It is crucial for surgeons, athletes, mimes, choreographers, and directors. This type of intelligence helps you retain information when it is associated with an activity, such as dance, acting, and sports. Relating what you are trying to learn to one of these activities will help you retain information and gain understanding. |
Quotes about me:
"Casey, I think you are an idiotic dingus bag. Your strengths are walking. That's about it. Just kidding! Honestly, I think you're one of the nicest and most humble person I've ever met. You're incredibly talented and smart, I'm always jealous when you receive awards and achievements! Yet you remain so humble and kind about it, you never brag about anything!!! Not to mention you're quite funny sometimes!" -K.T "You're super smart and really good at drawing, wish I could be like you! But I don't like your puns, sorry." -B "Bestest friend." -E.D (Does the "bestest" part count as a typo? Because she actually said "bestest" in her quote) |
